What is Chair Yoga?

Yoga is a physical and mental practice that combines movement, breath control, and mindfulness to improve flexibility, strength, and relaxation.

Chair yoga is a unique form of yoga done while seated or using a chair for support. It makes yoga accessible to people with limited mobility, balance issues, or those who just want a less physically demanding practice, offering many of the same benefits - and some unique advantages! -without the need to get on the floor or wear any special clothes. We do use small weights on a few exercises (2-3 lb) so if you have some, bring them - or we'll figure out how to get you some.

Where is it available?

Every Wednesday 1:00 at Aldie United Methodist Church, 39325 Little River Tpke in Aldie, in the Pinky and Stanley Rice Social Hall.

She lives nearby, LOVES teaching yoga, and gently leads students through every step. She also happens to be a dressage instructor and a USDF bronze and silver medalist. Sometimes she brings along a shelter dog that needs a break from FOHA, a local dog rescue
